December Site Update
Pacific Gas and Electric Company Vallejo MGP Cleanup Project Weekly Report 12/15/23
PG&E provides this update on work occurring at the City-owned 26-acre property located south of Curtola Parkway that is associated with the former Vallejo manufactured gas plant (MGP). Work Completed 12/11/23 to 12/15/23
• Paved Mono Street.
• Continued grading and restoration activities throughout the site.
• Continued to demobilize construction equipment and materials from the site.
Upcoming Work
• Complete grading and restoration activities throughout the site and along Mono Street.
• Complete demobilization of construction equipment and materials from the site.
Air Monitoring
• Air monitoring results to date have confirmed that air quality remained at levels protective of the health of the surrounding community.
Work Hours
• 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Anticipated Impacts
• To allow for restoration work to occur safely, Mono Street will be closed to public traffic through the end of 2023. Safety signage and flaggers, when appropriate, will be in place to direct construction-related traffic.
• Parking will be limited in most of the boat launch parking lot due to construction. Parking for boat launch users and one boat launch will continue to remain open.
• There will be noise and truck traffic associated with construction activities.
Site Security
• Access gates are closed to the public, and the site is under surveillance by security guards.
