SR 37 Traffic Congestion Relief Project

The SR 37 Traffic Congestion Relief Project proposes to upgrade Highway 37 between Vallejo and Marin County to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. As part of the environmental review process, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) will evaluate project impacts to public access and possible impact mitigations.

An opportunity exists to identify public access improvements in Vallejo to be considered for inclusion in the environmental document of the SR-37 Project. These public access options could increase resident's quality of life by giving them additional ways to visit and enjoy the natural beauty and resources of Mare Island, the Mare Island Strait, and San Pablo Bay.
