Broadway Project Update - February 2025

The Broadway Project is moving forward and getting closer to opening its doors. Staff are providing monthly project updates to City Council, with the next update set to occur at the February 25, 2025 Council Meeting.

City Staff have submitted an extension request to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to update the temporary certificate of occupancy date to April 15, 2025, construction completion date to May 5, 2025, and full occupancy of residents date to August 5, 2025 (90 days from construction completion).

Meetings with the operator, Shelter, Inc. have continued regarding contract negotiation and operations budget. Meetings with the leasing team have also resumed in January 2025 to ensure the lease-up process is ready for occupancy.
