Draft Housing Element

The public review draft of the City of Vallejo Housing Element is being reviewed by the California Housing and Community Development Department (HCD). Staff expects comments from HCD by January 31, 2024. Staff will work with our consultant in addressing HCD’s comments and will bring any edits back to the community for review and input. The Planning Commission, the Housing and Community Development Commission and the City Council will each hold public meetings to consider this document, dates and times are to be determined. The purpose of each public meeting will be to provide an overview of the public review draft of the Housing Element, HCD comments and City response, provide an outline for the review process itself, and to ensure that the public will have an opportunity to provide verbal comments on document. Each of these meetings are held at City Hall, 555 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, California. Members of the Public will be able to participate in-person or remotely via Zoom.

Public Meeting Dates and Locations

City Council: October 24, 2023. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
