What’s the difference between 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps internet?
The main difference is speed. 100 Mbps (megabits per second) is fast enough for basic online activities like streaming, video calls, and gaming, but 1 Gbps (gigabit per second) is 10 times faster and ideal for households or businesses with multiple devices, heavy streaming, large file downloads, and smart home setups.
With 100 Mbps, you can comfortably stream in HD, browse the web, and have a few connected devices. However, 1 Gbps provides a smoother, lag-free experience, especially for 4K streaming, cloud backups, and work-from-home setups with many users online at the same time. If you have a large household or need high performance, 1 Gbps is the better choice.
